ear repair

I read in the archives that fabric sheets or pieces of scrap hide can be used to mend holes in the inner ear of deer. My question is: Will the fabric sheet make up the differance if there is missing skin?

I would like to try this method as sewing always leaves the stitches showing (at least for me). Thanks!

I too have used a fabric softener sheet. I loved how the finished product turned out. The only downfall that I found was when I was glueing the earliner in place a little glue was able to seep through the sheet. Not much came through and I was able to easily clean it off after the ear dried. Good luck, Ryan
