What about replacing it with epoxy and texturing wiht a dan d noser.
The epoxy sculpt sounds like the best and easiest way to me also!
A fawn's nose is almost slick and doesn't need to be turned into a raspberry. IF you insist on any type of texturing, use a towel after you've epoxied the nose in place.
