what is the best thing to wash a cape with after it has been tanned?i no i need something to fight bacteria but what? thanks for your time

if it is tanned it should be dry or in the process of drying, so if it is dry it would be stupid to moisten it and provide an opportunity for bacteria or fungus to reproduce. If it is wet tanned, it should be on its way to drying and you do not need to be washing the oils off that is tanning it. That's my opinion. Maybe that is not what you meant but in that cse you will need to be more specific

you can wash in pert or any other shampoo on the market. its tanned, leather, bacteria will not affect it. a fast shampoo and rinse, towel dry or tumble then mount.
