I want to know if anybody knows some good taxidermists in Wisconsin that does a great job on small fawns?

But the BEST freeze dried fawn I've ever seen looks like crap up beside one mounted conventionally. Unless a whole lot of factors work in conjunction with each other, fawns that I've seen look scrawny, under-nourished, and extremely wrinkled. Personally, I freeze dry animals only as a very last resort if at all possible. BUT, that's just my opinion and I'm sure someone will disagree with it.
Deb, George is right. Now I'm not saying there aren't "ANY" nice ones out there. But I've never seen a whole freeze-dried mammal that looked as good as a conventional mount. Plus if they (fawns) are in any amount of humidity or just over time the ear edges wrinkle and they curl and shrink down. Plus you always run the risk of bug infestation after awhile w/ freeze-dry.
In response to both responses.I was told that these fawns that I want done , could only be done by freezedrying .The people that I have talked to said that there wasn't a form small enough for them. They are small! but no smaller than what thay are when the mother drops them ,maybe by 2 weeks .The hooves are white with just a tip of black.I would have them done the conventional way if I new that they were going to be done nicely.I have triplets and it has been a lifes dream to have a beautiful mount with fawns.Just looking for the right taxidermist! In response to the humidity. I didn't know this and I guess I would prefer to have them done the old conventional way if it could be done.Thank you for your responses.
If you leave your e-mail, we can correspond about the fawns you would like mounted.
