how do i go about mounting two whitetails with their horns locked together? i see some forms available for fighting bucks but do i actually have to mount them as they are right now or do i separate the horns first and then try an entangle them again once they are mounted?

I believe it was in Taxidermy Today. There was one done that was a full mount and the head of the second deer still locked together. This guy explained that he actually wired the horns together to make sure they didn't come apart. He then did all of the work with them together. I have never done this but I thought the article may help you. It goes into great detail.

its quite involved, and...

Gary first off all wire the horns together, and charge a lot of money ,you will work for it.Dedending on the horns, wall mount lots of work , pedestal less, once again depending on the antler senting,do not try to move them around, if the come apart you will never get them back together.I would cut the heads off the manikins and get them exactely the proper position then alter the neck and shoulders.
This is the easiest way and a lot less BS
