Angle of mount to backboard

Submitted by Bob Cady on 9/17/04 at 12:53 PM. ( )

From my previously submitted message, I would like to take off 2 inches of the bottom of the chest of the deer so it angles downward. I thought I could just peal back the hide and cut the mold and pull the hide back over the mold and re-secure the mount to the back board. Would I have to soften the hide ? Comments anyone?

Just take a drywalll saw and make as straight as a cut as you can . Cut through the fur and mold thing . Then cut a wedge like shape out and glue it back together.WaLa! Your done . See ...Your a taxidermist now! Have fun .
