i just killed decent 8 point last week and have skinned it out and rough fleshed it and i noticed a smell coming from it. I put it in the pickle solution this morning. I just ckecked it and it still smells. I have some malogon deodorizer that i could use to get the smell out. Could I just pour some of this in the pickle solution to get rid of the smell.

matt after i soak my capes in the baking soda i do a final wash with just malgon and water it seems to do away with the toughest odors i use about 3 or 4 ounces of malgon to 3 gallon of water. try this it may help and dont rinse the cape after the wash.
