I have been using Killer Glue for a while with very good results. The only thing about it I don't like is that it is very stiff and hard to spread. Is there a glue out there as good, but easier to work with ?

It is creamy to spread , And it drys almost clear so i use it on my fish skins also with no color bleed through.
Get it through WASCO
Are you tanning your hides or using Dry Preservative? If you're using DP, STAY AWAY FROM WATER BASED GLUES. I never thought much of Killer Glue anyway as I found it stringy, and as you said, hard to work with. The Epo-Grip line is also carried by WASCO and their epoxy hide paste is as good as you'll find. Beware of epoxie pastes that tell you to "mix and let set for 30 minutes". These are epoxies that you must wait until that begin to catalyze before you start and once THEY start, you'd better not be answering any phone calls.
I think they have improved their formula, cause the last 2 quarts I've ordered have been excellent. You may have gotten some bad glue or something , I think they had a problem with it awhile back, but they fixed it. Call your supplier and see if they will replace it.
Is the only way to go. Killer glue is not comparison to the ease of mixing and working of Epo-Grip.
just went from 32.00 dollars a gal. to 49.00 a gal to, guess I will be going back to buckeye.
I have been using Killer Glue and don't like fighting that stuff to get capes taxi'd into place.I think Buckeye, for the money,is good stuff also.
