i was wondering which paints some of you guys use when you paint deer noses and ears. could you tell me what the name of the paint is and who its made by. Also do you paint around the eyes and if you do what paint do you use for that.

i use lifetone paints anyways i spray a rich brown around the eyes and tear duct area. for ears i spray white with a little gill red for a slight pink color but more white than pink. for the nose just plain black on the pad and nostrils same color as the ears but add more red to it to make it a little more pink. just look at some reference pics to get a better idea.
Before I had an airbrush I would just use plain acrylic paints used for painting pictures. I would just mix the color I want and thin it down real good so it goes on just washing back the color. Now I have an airbrush and have been using some paints from Jonas. They are waterbased and premixed in the general color you need. They even have a color called "deer ear" used for the inside of the ears. You need some reference photos to match the correct colors.
