Got in my first archery deer last night. 11 point,205# field dressed and 24" behind the ears. This thing has got a head like a basketball! I'm almost afraid to see what they're gonna produce once the rut starts! Hope every one has a great season. Peace- Jeff F.

Help. due to a family death, i have relocated from louisiana of all places to Trego, near spooner if youre unfamiliar with the area. I am actively seeking truck prospects, as ive sold them at dealerships for 24 years. youll find me at link brothers in rice lake or email me pashatbayou@aol.com. If nothing else, ill give you some pointers on cooking a great venison stew, jambalaya, or how about venison and sausage gumbo....Im not an hebert, landry or thibodeaux or boudreaux but can cook with the best of them. If you know of any bar or restaurant that would like me to prepare a gumbo for some sunday packer fans..i can be contacted by email or at Link Brothers Ford Lincoln Merc in Rice Lake. Thanks and have a great hunt. Harvey

Do the packers still have fans?

I doubt it!(LMAO) Kevin, The above mentioned deer was a WT and here in N. Indiana that's a pretty good size for a pre-rut bruiser. Happy hunting and GO VIKINGS! Jeff F.

I got a Kansas deer in during Sept. (muzzle loading season)that had a 24" inside spread and groses around 190. The nose to eye is 8-3/4 and the neck is 24" a couple inches below the ears. I'm from Michigan. I took a buck the other night that dressed 202 without the tenderloins. He has a 22" neck measurement and a nose ot eye of 7-1/2".

Alberta still rules

So far this has been an awesome season. Only 1 decent whitetail 176" with 6 1/8" bases but the muleys are doing real well. The best is a 6x6 that went 219 1/8" NT, And some other nice ones at 194", 189" and Mine at 192 6/8" My best to date taken at 7600' That altitude may not sound impressive compared to colorado but here that is 300' above timberline.
