Hole in the ear and I whant to keep it how do I do it

Hey guys I get my 4x5 Black tail this year and I shot him in the ear two years ago and he ran off and last year he didnt give me a chance but I got him this last weekend .
now the ? How do I need to do the ear so the hole I put there 2 years ago is still there and get the scare look back in it?
you all have helped me out alot here so fare and I am great full thank you in advance Jim. I did take pics of the ear and face for referance thanks again Jim

Jim, Without seeing the ear I would say just turn the ear out as normal. If you use ear liners, fit the liner to the ear and then cut out a matching hole just a bit larger than the actual hole (so the front and back hole edges will come together). Glue up the liner as usual and probably use a couple of staples to hold till adhesive sets. If you bondo ears I would make a temporary patch for the hole then bondo as usual, pressing the hole area flat at the hole edge. After setting remove the patch. There are other ways for sure but that's what make this taxidermy stuff so much fun- enjoy, Aaron H.

Instead of trying to keep the hole intact, slice through it so that the ear can be opened all the way. The edges of the whole can be rebuilt with Magic Sculpt later.
