Brain tanning is tanning. Native americans used to and still do tan their hides that way. They will last forever as long as they are properly flesh. Go for it

I keep asking this question and no one ever answers

BUT WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO? Brain tanning surely worked for the Indians as it will for you, but before they captured horses, they ran after animals. Now they use Toyota FourRunners. What is this attraction to primitive ways when there are so many more products available which do a more superb job with a whole lot less effort. The "brain tanners" conjure up yuppie ideals and Indian wannabes. Sorry, just MY opinion.

It's back breaking labor

Same question like Geo just asked: Why would you want to use a brain tan? Do you realize how much work and time is involved in this procedure? Unless you just want to experiment with it and have a bunch of time on your hands, I don't see why you would even consider it. Just breaking the hide is going to be hard labor you won't forget soon.
