If it is possible put your cape in an inclined position so excess fluids can drain off. I have even hung my capes after the first day to be sure they drain. Also it sounds like a dehumidifier would be a good investment.

And a fan

Add a fan with the dehumidifier. Cool and dry is the way to go.

dehumidifier

I've been having the same problem here in wet, wet Tx. Finally went out a bought a dehumidifier. Within 24 hours my wt cape was almost dry. I have a concrete floor in my shop, and it has been wet from all of the rain and seepage, but even it is drying after about 36 hours. It is always humid here, but we've been setting at about 100% for a while now. I can't believe the difference it's made, it's probably the best investment I've made in a while. BP

I had the same problem so I went last nite and bought one at Lowes for $138.00 my shop is 24x40 but has a divider wall in it I hung the capes in the smaller room (24x15) turned it on high and it work like a charm!
