is there a good antler mounting video out there ? One you dont have to use the atler mounting blocks with. thanks jeff

Try this, Go to a gander mountain, or a walmart, and they sell easy kits to mount antlers. If you dont want to use the antler covers, mold on out of clay over the skull plate after you mount the rack on the plaque, and then get felt/velvet and glue it onto the harden skull cover. Thats how I do it.

The answer to your question is NO. If you want a quality antler mount, use the foam antler mount block, round with mache, then put a layer of 1/4 inch foam, then leather or velvet on top of the foam. Mount on quality panel you can get for under $12. You want cheap and east you get junk. End of story. Taxidermy Today had an article about antler mounts a few issues ago.
