almost the same question as the previous post. have a customer with a small 6 point in velvet. killed in august, been in the freezer since. could it be thawed out and injected still or is it too late? also wants it as a european mount. i do the beetle cleaning. will the beatles eat the velvet. any input is appreciated. i dont have beatles but i send them out.

.....Contact the person that you send your skulls to. They should be able to answer your questions. This is what I was told by the person that does my specialty skulls...Their bugs don't like anything that has been treated with borax! I would soak the antlers alternately in alcohol and then in a borax solution, repeating in each several times, finishing with alcohol. Be careful not to get the skull into either solution, just the antlers.
