Buck Head Mount

I shot my first deer yesterday, and I've wrapped in in ice, but it's in the 60s today, and the ice is melting fast. I plan on quatering him out, but I want to have him mounted. Where should I cut the head off at?

this will allow the taxidermist enough cape to produce the shoulder mount.

Skin up the neck

as far as you can without cutting a hole in the cape. Cut the cape off behind the front legs, and you can cut the neck off as far down from the skull as you want. I like to have 4-6 inches of neck behind the skull so I can take a measurement before tanning.
