My niece & favorite hunting partner Brittany (age 12) harvested her first antlered deer (3rd total) during Ohio's Youth Season. It was an 8 point buck she shot with my dad's 12 gauge 870. The interesting part was that the the deers left brow tine was the only point that was'nt chipped or broken. Because we figured he had been fighting she picked a fighting buck form (rubbing a tree for our mount). I have the deer mounted now and she comes over every day to watch it dry. Thanks for your time.

It's always good to hear that the hunting heritage is still alive and hoping for the future.
We all need to promote Youth hunting.Help a young man or women get started. thank you Chirs.
Love to hear about young people getting fired up about hunting. I have a 7 year-old daughter that is already asking when we can go turkey hunting again. I have taken her with me the last two spring hunts and let her sit with me. She has her own box call and is about as intense as I am.

That's good to see more young hunters out there. I started at 12 and am now 14. I shot my first deer at 12, (a button buck) and also my first buck which was a seven pt, and this year I got a button buck again and a 4 point! :)Once my dad got me into hunting, I couldn't stop!
