Muley Doe?

I've searched the archives and not come up with much on the subject, only about people wanting to screw antlers into the heads of does instead of buying a buck cape. But anyway. I have a muley doe I want to mount. I can't find a form in the pose I want and was wondering if it were possible to put a Doe mule deer on a Whitetail Doe, or a Small Muley Buck and what alterations would I need to do to such a form? I know there is a difference between the faces of the two sexes, but if anyone has ever done these alterations I'd like to hear about how you tackled it.

Thanks,
-A

I have done a few of them. I buy small muley buck forms (try to get the same size neck as your doe). You will need to take a wedge out of the head to make it a little more narrow. You will probably have to shorten the face as well. Fill in the area for the horns with your choice of foam, mache, bondo, what ever works for you. Use a lot of reference pics. You will notice mulie does don't have the heavy brow the bucks do. This works on a bunch of different animals such as cow elk. They are the most common for me to do the ol "sex change" on. Good luck and I hope this helps!
