This may be stupid but do mule deer make rubs. I have no idea , as having not seen any pics in mags or hunting shows showing mulie rubs. Just curious.

Drill a hole in the antler pdeicile and a matching hole in the bottom of the antler. Epoxy in a piece of threaded rod into the pedicile and let cure. Epoxy the protruding rod end into the hole drilled in the antler. Reset your hide with Epo-Grip and restitch.

Hoss lost me and Mike maybe saw a muley in a pen or one just pawing the ground to pee in a nice spot; mulie bucks are much more long distance migraters than whitetails, I am talking over a hundred miles plus in the west during the rut. Sometimes in just a few days. "Big" open sage brush country with high mountain peaks. I have hunted mulies here in Northwest Wyoming every year for over 30 now and the big bucks here will show up from Idaho, some from over 300 miles away during the rut then they winter here. Not much use for those scrapes in Idaho or along the way they might of made! Mulies will also sometimes collect and hold harems of does during the rut.

I have seen many scrapes and rubs in country that has no whitetails only muleys. And every muley I have seen come in during the rut has plenty of bark and crap firmly packed around the base of his antlers just like a whitetail. These are bush country and mountain muleys. I have also noticed that the higher the population the less they travel. I can find the same bucks within a mile or so in the farmland during the rut but the mountain bucks definitely make alot more miles.
