when cleaning a Ram scull what do I need to do to protect the horns? Any info appreciated!

The horns need to be removed prior to cleaning. Do yourself a favor and check the archives before starting your project.
You need to remove the horns , I do this by soaking them ain warm water until the edges get soft , then I use a rubber mallad and hit the horn in the spot where they curve and they will pop off. Sometimes they can be a bit stubborn.
