McKenzie Tan after Krowtann?

Have a couple of capes in the freezer that were tanned with the Krowtann, but now I'm not sure if I like the stuff now due to the shrinkage I seem to be getting, and yes they were shaved thin. Can I thaw the capes and put McKenzie tan on them? I didn't know whether it would be useless now, or if the McKenzie tan would still penetrate and hopefully keep me from getting the shrinkage that I have gotten with the Krowtann? I also have some Liqua Soft oil, could that be used too?

Alum tans are notorious for washing out anyway. Wash it thoroughly with some Downy and tepid water, rinse, spin dry and then paint on the McKenzie. Still not sure if you'll regain the stretch, but IF I were to be in that situation, that's what I'd do.

thanks George

Thats what I'll do... thought I was gonna save some time with the Krowtann, but I can see in the long run that I would have been better off sticking with what I know works!
