deer ear repair

I was curious of what some of you do to repair tears and cuts that are on the inside of the ear canal? I know that on a couple of occasions that we have cut into the ear when we are spliting the cartiladge with a scapel to pull it off. How do you fix this kind of tear and still make the ear look respectable on a mount? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is what I do

in that situation. I invert the ear and place alittle super glue around the slit and cut a piece of silk span or tissue paper to fit over the slit on all sides. Place the silk span on and the glue will absorb into the paper. Take the glue tip and run it around on the paper adding alittle more glue until the paper is laying flat, wait for it to dry a bit before adding liners or your method of ears. Good luck.

I use dryer sheets with super glue, used or new.

Its called Bondini, Walmart stocks it in the Hardware/Paint section, It works on oily surfaces well, works wonderful, the dryers sheets work too, it is a little thicker than silkspan, Goodluck with all.
