I noticed one of my personal two year old deer head mounts has separation between the apoxie sculpt and the eye skin.Has anyone else experienced this?I use liqua tan on my capes and dont expose them to any elements.

That is why it is critical to thin the skin around the eyes and nose as thin as possible. That will cut down on the shrinkage. It does not matter what type of tan you use if it is not thinned it will shrink.

You don't let the mount dry out completely and thoroughly before applying the apoxi. Everytime I get impatient I am reminded of the error of my ways with this.
