I've done hundreds of standard deer mount, but will soon do my first pedistal mount. How would you attach to a fence post? Is there special hardware available to attach the form to the post? Also, are counterweights needed in the base? Thanks.

Dale, A much used method is square tubing and all threaded rod hammered to fit snugly inside the tubing. Click on the orange "search" and you can find description of this method and others. I use counterweight in some off center forms but most pedestal mounts that I've done have not needed it. Enjoy the mount-Aaron H.
