I want to add a deer foot to an Open Mouth Coyote, this will be a 1st for me and I want the hide to look freshly ripped from the leg. I would appreciate any tips on getting this look. Thanks!

Starve the dog the day before though. LOL! I dunno?
the skin a few inches longer and leave some bone exposed and splintered on the end . After preserved just trim the extra into jagged strips . Maybe use some of that fake blood from halloween or paint to look bloody and a few smears on the rest of the foot. Smudge some on the yote's teeth too. One bloody deer foot ! Just a thought ,Bradlee
I was told about this technique quite awhile ago from a friend, but I havent tried it yet:
For best look, use the real bone at least down to the wrist. Carve all meat off and borax. Then get some modeling clay or mache and make it look blood red. Coat the bone with it pretty well and mount the skin over it. Then take an actual skull of a coyote(artificial or real) and chew the leg up with the jaws.The red filler will come through and maybe even some bone, and it will look awesome. You can help the teeth a little with a knife and open up the skin a bit. Add a little paint, and it should look pretty neat. I would practice on an extra foot first.
