Thought it would be interesting to know what your favorite mount was (one that you mounted). I wanted to try a real aggressive look so I found a picture of to bucks ready to fight. I used a Noonkester Semi-Sneak form (left turn) and a pair of Natralook Earliners (Back/Agrressive) to match the buck in the picture, and I used a pair of white banded Eppley true eyes so he would be looking to the left. The deer is a 140" 8 point with a real tall rack. The aggressive ears makes the rack look twice as big. Thanks.

She was a fiesty one, I finally blocked the motel door with a chair.
Not to keep her in, but she was a screamer that night, I took her places she had never been!
I know what you mean about them red heads.
No open jaw on this babe...does not matter how many buds you put down, this raccoon will never just jump out at you all huffy and all.
And second an elk on a good Joe Kish form. No matter how I look at it, it is comming right at me and it does not see me! ah yes...
Mounted a tiger that was 11'4" nose to tip of tail. It had been in the movie "Bird on a Wire" with Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn. My first and to this day, only tiger. It was one of those you hate for the customer to pick up.
So far the one mount that I hated to see leave the shop was a 6ft nose to tail black bear. I mounted it standing. The customer brought it to me five days after it was killed in 70 degree weather hole. It smelled like well you know lol. I thought for sure there would be no hair left on it before I could skin it and flesh it. To my surprise it made it through. I done the entire process in shop. I built the habitat base out of popler. It is standing on partialy snow covered ground and melted snow on the piece of drift wood sticking out of the ground. I have to do two more bears for this customer he wants them fighting. I still have to finish the second coyote to go with the one I mounted snarling on a 5ft rock ledge for him. The one on the ledge is 50 pound black and red NY yote the second is a 50 pound blonde yote. I need a bigger shop LOL.
I really enjoy working with them. My favorite form is Ken Walker's in the Coombs catalog. It seems that the more reference and books you read on a particular animal you are working on, the more you get an appriciation for them. I simply love coyotes! I also still love going out and blasting them!
coming home from work one night i found a small coon that was in fair shape ,,other than being dead of course,,i mounted him lying down in a snow scene with his head laying across a boot print,,,with two .22 brass inbedded in the print,,,a tear ran down the little fellows cheek,,,,,,,,,,,i entitled the peice "MOMMA ?" thats gotta be my favorite peice,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,jim

Mako shark, painted on both sides.

My favorite mount is a fawn whitetail and her mother over the top of her
it was comments like that ,that made that mount my favorite,,along with accuracy and expression we always try to convey emotion,,its always nice when someone can actually "FEEL" your work,,,,,jim
Jim. After viewing that I might think differently about coon hunting, lol.
but do you think if MICKEY dies they'll give me the job? lol,,,jim
We've all tried to kill Bambi over the years and that aint workin so the Mickey thing is probably just a pipe dream.
