Just front teeth showing

I have read about doing an open mouth and flehming, but can find no info on a slightly open mouth where the front teeth are just barely visible, sort of a "relaxed" open mouth. Would the whole open mouth jawset need inserted or can you just insert the teeth or artificial teeth and apoxie sculpt the bottom lip in that area?
Thanks.

Partial Open Mouth

This is an easy project to do. All you have to do is use about 2" of the front portion of the upper palate. First cut about 3" back along the lip line and drop the entire lower lip. Then dremmel out the upper palate and hot glue or bondo this 2" upper palate into place. Now go the the lower jaw part and dremmel out about 1 1/2 inche back from the front lip; leaving enough for the lower teeth to be exposed. You can bondo them into place and use apoxie sculpt to smooth around. Now just bondo the lower jaw back into position and it looks like a first class partial open mouth without any effort hardly.

When mounting the lower lip into position I use a little roll of clay on that power lip to give it a fleshy appearance. Then just super glue the inner lip to the manikin and your good to go. Then the finishing work is real easy. Just use a little apoxie sculpt and a modeling tool and work it smooth. Might take a Q-tip with lacquer thinner and smooth it out perfectly.

If anyone desires I have photo's of one I just mounted this week. It shows a partial open mounted mouth. Also, I show the partial upper palate and the size of the teeth that I use. It's a very simple procedure but, you might get another $75.00-$100.00 out of it.
I use geltrate to cast that upper palate and then poracast or bondo to make the small upper palate.

John,

Thanks, that sounds great if you could send me a few photos it would really be appreciated. Too bad we cannot post photos here to help explain questions and answers.

So it sounds like you can still tuck the back part of the lip normally?
