apoxie sculpt eye

Submitted by Billy on 2/21/05 at 12:14 PM. ( ) 66.160.82.105

I am thinking of trying apoxie sculpt on my deer eyes instead of critter clay. I plan on mixing a three to one mixture for a longer working time.
Will this work better than critter clay to help keep the eye lids tighter to the eye? and are all apoxie sculpts petty much the same?

thanks!

Don't screw with the ratios

You're talking about epoxy now, not fiberglass. Fiberglass you can pull that trick, but epoxies tend to either NEVER dry or dry brittle and hard. Just do your eye work right before you start sewing the skin up.

50/50

Using Apoxie Sculpt is the exception, not the rule. Most go with Critter Clay or other low-shrinkage premium clays.

Having said that, I have enjoyed using the Apoxie Sculpt, but like George inferred, a 50/50 mixture is what you want to stick with.

Why not

Why not try the apoxie clay. I think that has a little softer smoother feal to it and may work good for seting eyes. I have not tryed this myself but will some time.

They never said not to use the epoxy. They said do not mess with changing the ratio of the mixture. Come on now and pay attention.
