I have been seeing where Fireline is been used for thread, I have used it for fishing and know that the line will slide/slip at the eye if you dont use the right knot, what is the best knot to use with fireline for sewing up a cape/hide?

But after I tie it, I take the tag end and thread the needle with it, push it back down through the incision and then pull it out a few inches away from the incision I sewed. I snug it and THEN I cut the string.
