Thats an easy fix. Take a marker and draw some strait lines on the side of the nose over the lip line. This will let you line the nose back up when you replace it back on to the manikin. Cut the nose off just behind the coner of the mouth. Take some heavy wire and use this to hold the nose back in place with the required amoint of gap you need to make up the difference. Now take plastic and cover the gap and leave a hole in the top to pour two part foam. Pour the foam and let set remove plastic and clean up the extra foam smooth out with mache or clay I like mache best. Hope that has helped. Jack F

can I use

I would think you could taxi the loose skin around, and it will tighten up on the form when it dries. Half inch is not much. I always go ay least a quarter inch smaller on somthing that is exact. example.... measure eye to nose is 7 inches dead on the money. everything will fit better(tear duct, eye lids, nostrils) if you can find a neck that will fit, if you go with 6 and 3/4.
hope this helps!

I think you would be better off with the two part foam. It seams to work alot better. I have tryed the can stuff and had no use for it except to fill holes in doors and windows. Besides if your doing any taxidermy at all the two part foam has a hundred uses and is money well spent. I would still alter the form for that 1/2 inch. If it were a 1/4 off you can get away with it and taxi it away like Tony suggested. Jack F

I'd never cut a form over 1/2 inch

My eyes don't even focus to tell that little difference in a deer cape. I'd do what Tony suggested.

The expanding foam from a can will work....

I have had to alter a few heads, since the foam doesn't have much strength, I dont like to use the wire rods, I use wood blocks cut to the size needed and hot glue them onto the form, cover the gap and then inject some of the foam, I have altered a few W/T forms from the neck back to the shoulders using the wood block spacers, just make sure the hot glue has completely cooled off, if not it just takes a little touch to get it off center. I too agree with Tony, you can taxi a good bit of skin around and it will tighten up.
