I have always used the bondo method in the past, and I thought I would give epplys buttless earliners a try but I'm not sure how to use them If any one could give me some pointers I would realy appreciate it.

(Jan/Feb 05) has an article by Mike Rohanna using the buttless earliners. Can't get any more detailed than this.

and like them. Take cartilage out. Fit earlinerin ear. Place ball of clay for earbut, size of 2 1/2 in. you may need more. Hide paste all over plastic. rUFF EARLINER FIRST. Place in ear and go about mounting. After done sewing shape earbut.

I have used hide paste on earliners with poor results. Try either a two-part epoxy (5 minutes works well but the ear MUST be dry) OR the best I've used is Elmer's Ultimate Glue. Polyurethane glue that REQUIRES moisture for adhesion. IDEAL for tanned capes in my opinoin. Cost is low and quality is high. WOrht a shot.
