I am planning on putting some recessed lights in my next habitat display for an upcoming compettion, and I was wondering If this will be a bad thing or a good thing toward the judges score.

Jason, match the lighting to the inviroment setting, i.e. soft lighting for winter scenes, blue lighting for aquatic, etc. conceal the structure's, should work in a positive way for you. Good luck...

Your light has to run on it's own power source(battery) for competition. That's the way it is in In. anyway. Remember to note something for the judges on your piece also so they'll know it's capabilities. Just thought I'd let you know before you did a bunch of extra work. Have fun! Jeff F.
