i received two deer heads, these deer heads were mounted in the early 70's. customer's garage caught fire, these deer are smoke damaged. the mounts look kinda rough, really not much smoke damage, just age. any suggestions on how to clean these up? i seen a product called mount bright, has anyone tried this product?

Works fine also you can also use woolite rug cleaner. This works just as good on any mount other than fish. It does take some time to clean them up. It may take more than one or two cleanings to do the job. When your done you will have to repaint it.
about a year ago my brothers house cought fire leaving six heads
with heavy smoke damage. i tried it all and was not happy.
i ended up mixing powder ajax, dishsoap and hot water in a large
bottle.compleatly soak mount outside and use good brush to scrub.
{DO NOT brush against hair} stay with hair lines. rinse and towl
dry, pin all areas, let dry for sevearl days and repaint. it worked
for me.....
