Ticks causing spotty hair slippage?

Submitted by Kelly on 3/13/05 at 8:14 PM. ( ) 24.179.96.196

Has anyone ever experienced spotty hair slippage after the hide has been tanned properly? This deer was COVERED in ticks and someone said that it could have caused small areas of hair to slip due to the bacteria that was going on around the tick bite. This is not happening at a great degree right now, definitely still mountable as long as it doesn't continue.

Also, any suggestions as to how to stop any further slippage on this tanned hide--it is currently back in the freezer.
