got the deer head mounted and after about a week it dried fine then today i discovered an area abouve the eyelid that has a funky crease on it the wasn't there before, not a big deal in which it could be left alone i guess, but i was wonderdering if i should rehydrate it and try moving it, i doubt it will do anything though because of the clay is rock hard. anyone ever do this?

Most Definitly

Take a syringe with some water in it and shoot it under the skin, in a short time ( a few minutes ) it should loosen up enough to smooth out your wrinkle. If you have some Gorilla glue or one of the glues that activate by moisture, you can shoot a vey small amount under the skin and it will fill up the crease in the clay, as well as reglue your skin.

Brad,
I have sprayed the eye till wet, put a wet towel over the eye. in about 12 hours, you can do what ya want with it. Oh I always use rubbing alcohal in a spray bottle, from wetting fox ears before skinning, to wettin down the hair next to the seam while sewing up a deer. When I was a kid, my dad, made me pour alcohal on cuts and skinned up knees and such. trust me when I say "Alcohal kills bacteria." LOL

put the wet piece of paper towel on overnight and it softened up just enough for me to pound the crease out and smooth it out. thanks
