Pulled Out Lower Lip

Submitted by Jim on 3/31/05 at 8:45 AM. ( )

One of my first deer I mounted about 5 years ago was hung in direct line with a heating vent. The lower lip has started to pull out. The largest gaps are about 1/8 inch. I have dehydrated and am ready to re-tuck and glue. Most of what I have read in the archives mention using super glue for this type repair which I assume is the kind you buy are a local store. I have on hand Epo-Grip 90 second epoxy and Epo-Grip Fast Set (10 minute epoxy). Which of the three would be better to use in this situation? Thank you, Jim

I'd go with the 10 min Epo-Grip in this scenerio. That should give you time to properly tuck and position the lip line again. Thats exactly what I use when mounting my own and have found it to work well. Peace. Jeff F.
