Going to do my first Deer.(Not a lot done here in africa).Went through the archives but still not sure what to do with the antlers.From what i got from the archives there is basically two options: 1-freeze dry 2-inject with Formaldahyde. Can someone please give more detail.eg: how long to freeze?, how soon after kill do you need to do the preservation.? Can i do both or is there some other method.?

Are your antlers in VELVET? If so, it will take about 6 months in a frost-free freezer to freeze dry them. If they aren't in velvet, you do nothing.
