I'm in the process of picking out a form for a mule deer. I'm trying to mount it in the head-up, lip-curling position. My question is, what is the differences in whitetail/mule deer forms?(from jaw down) I can't seem to find a mule form like I want and am thinking about getting a WT form and changing out the head to a mule deer... Would this be an okay idea, or a bad one? Thanks in advance

.....That's been done. I was at a seminar where Joe Meder took one of his whitetail forms and with a bit of clay turned it into a mulie. He did add a bit of clay to the leg/shoulder junction to form a more prominant bump, otherwise all the work was on the face.
For commercial mounts, I do it all the time. Whitetail body, with a change-out head. So far I haven't had a problem with areas matching up proportionately.
