if your lip skin is properly thinned, and your lip slot is not to big, there should be no problem with shrinkage. I use derma grip and have no problems with my lip line.
Whatever you do, don't use one of those lip-locker bits they sell for dremels. They make the slot too big and you risk the hide pulling back. I use a small jigsaw blade and like was said above, thin the lips down, and use a good paste. I use Buckeye Supreme, but any good paste will work. I then pin the lower lip in place and keep checking until it is dry.
