I am using synchron eyes on my mount. do i need to use an adhesive to secure the eye skin when im tucking it behind the rubber capsule of the synchron eye, or will the rubber capsule hold the skin in place. what are you thoughts on using sanchron eyes? Thanks

Use good hide paste on the whole mount.I used the capsules on my early mounts with ok results now I prefer to set my own eyes better results.

I've used them

In my earlier mount I used them also. I got okay results at best. The synchron don't give the lively look like a couple eyes set with clay does. The capsules don't give much options for moving the eyelids around to change or help the look of the eye-set.

Reference Pictures !

Travis, I've never used the synchron eyes so I don't know how they are to work with, but I bet like Kim, Joey and myself you'll be more satisfied shaping your own eyes. I always use reference pictures to get the shape and expression of the eyes. A good tip is to get a reference picture that matches the type of mount you are doing (aggressive, relaxed, etc.) Hope this helps!

to do right are alot of extra work i usaully alter the manikin to get a desires look. Also i've split them and also if you don't alter the manikin sometimes the eyes will have a bolging look.I use them alot now but it took alot of experimenting and still i don't always get the desired look. i usaully adhire the eyes sets to the manikin after i think i got them set right then use alot of hide paste to adhire the hide to them but everyone is right you won't always get the look you want.

ive use the synchron and found if you drill the 1 1/2" hole alittle deeper than flush you can use clay and get any look your after and have the tuck space offered by the capuse
