Doing my first pedestal, A wall ped at that. Looking for advice on this project. It is my deer, a modest 8 pointer for practice. I know from looking at it, and one of George's posts in the archives, that hanging it could be a bitch. Will two hangers in line vertically for screws on the same stud work- raher than using a drywall anchor? Any issues in sewing this thing? I only do a handful of deer a year compared to bird work so I want to have some high end options in the show room for folks.

See McKenzie Catalog p.569. T-Hanger system works the best of anything I've seen. I have used the Stand-Off hangers and regular hangs in tandem... The T-Hanger is the only way to go IMO. I think Van Dykes also has come out with something similar, but it is a flatter design.
