I recently picked-up a good 30" mule deer rack at a yard sale for a few bucks. It's in good shape, except for it has the look of being hung in a bar for 10-15 years. The antler itself is good, but it just has that old look. It still has a lot of natural color in it. I see too many racks these days where they're completed stained to solve this problem, and it ends up looking fake, IMO. I'm trying to do as little to the rack as I can, to leave it natural, but would like to clean it up some. Open to any suggestions. Thanks!

Try some soap and water first, then hit the lacquer thinner if needed. Joe
Sey-Brite Trophy Cleaner works really well. I have cleaned a few deer with it. I have a couple before/after pictures if you would like to see them, if so E-mail me and I'll send them to you. Good Luck!
But isn't Sey-Brite just for the "hair" on an old mount? I could be wrong. Joe
I'll pay better attention next time. I think that's called a "Brain Freeze". Your right, Sey-Brite is for the hair. Thanks for looking out for me jrosbor! Sorry Joey!
paint stripper after the soap and water didn't work. Start out with small areas first to get an idea of how much to use.
stuff works wonders, and it's good for cleaning the floor too.
