Ancient Mount restoration

I have an old deer mount that was done on a paper mache form. It is discolored and needs drastic touch up. The eyes, nose, and mouth all are cracked and scabby looking from the old clay. What tricks can I work to add beauty to this old trophy? Thanks.

Here's what I did

I did a old mount like that reciently. I started out by cleaning it thuroughly. I tip it upside down outside and spray on Windex and wipe with a sponge and towels until it is clean all over. My mount was very dirty, so it took several cleaning sessions to get it clean. After allowing it to dry, I used Magic Scaulp to fill in all the cracks, gaps and uggly spots. Then I gave it a new paint job to finish it. It didn't look like a new mount, but it didn't turn out too bad.

Thanks
