For open mouth whitetail deer mounting what is your chosen way to handle the lips/papillea? Should you mold with RTV and then cast and place on form prior to mounting, or do you prefer to cast the jawset and then use natural lips and recreate the papillea with epoxy?.
This is my first open mouth & I will be using a Buckeye manikin open mouth form. thanks!

i just like to get the jawset situated in there and after i get the animal mounted i go over the lipline and blend the gums in with apoxie sculpt and make the papillea by hand with any kind of tool u can use. it turns out really really good. thats my method
