about those blue eyed fawns...

I recall telling someone in here earlier that Id watch the fawns born this year to give a more accurate answer on when the blue goes away on fawn eyes. This is what Ive seen so far. My fawns this year had blue eyes, from grey-blue to almost a sky-blue. By the second week of life the lighter eyes became a paines grey color. The eyes that were a bit darker originally became a dark grey, some are showing a bit of hazel. So, for a group of 14 related fawns out of Ohio stock originally, theres your reference. Hope it helps you choose your fawn eyes.

Thanks Bill. I believe I had actually asked you on HuntingNet forums. These fawns are less than a week and almost two weeks old. Sounds like with their age they could range from a fairly light blue to a grey.
