I have and I left the cartage in(I now prefer to remove it).The adhesive I used wsa McKenzie cartilageadhesive which is recommended.Since I did not have cartilage to trace over the liner,I would keep test fitting untill I got it.I then place a roll of clay around the edge of the ear and smooth out the edge. Then card the edge. The adhesive is very stong and never had any drumming.

I have used them too. I'll trub them lightly with laquer thinner to get any mold release off (careful not too use too much, they'll get soft on you), then use 60 grit sandpaper to "rough" them up a little. I use Buckeye Supreme hide paste, and have never had a problem with drumming.
