Obtain some Minwax Fruitwood stain and scoop the wax out of the bottom of the can. The stuff that settles on the bottom. Spread this on the antlers with a paper towel and then wipe it back off with another paper towel soaked in laquer thinner. I would do one side at a time. One coat should give you a good light tan color. then take some burnt umber oil paint and stipple this kinda heavy in the knarly stuff on the bases and then over the whole rack lightly and again wipe it off with a paper towel and thinner. This will darken the color slightly and blend the whole thing together nicely. It also fills any scratches and brings out other cool stuff on the antlers. Seal the antlers with your favorite sealer.

If you have an old bleached antler that is not to the point of cracking try this out. I couldn't believe how good it looks.

thanks craig

...are those antlers, if they are very porous you need to seal them and sand the excess before coloring them.
