i have shot a mule deer with my bow. The buck is still in full velvet so i put it in my freezer as soon as i could. Was this the right thing to do?

yes it was if you dont know how to turn, salt and what not, just make sure you get it to a taxidermist when you get a chance. now dont misunderstand, DO NOT salt it and put in the freezer, do one or the other, keep in mind that in order to salt there is a turning of the ears, eyes and lips you need to know about. so the best thing from this point would be get it to a taxidermist.
