felt/leather on antler mount

I want to create my own antler mount instead of buying it - not that I'm cheap, but just want to.

I want to know how big of a piece of felt/leather I need to buy to cover a medium size mannikin?

Thanks Pete

Pete,
a 9x12 piece should work for a mannikin that is around a size 5x7. Felt is really cheap though, so you might want to get a little bit bigger piece if you want to be on the safe side. Hope this helps.

Why a mannequin, for over 25 years I've been cutting somewhat circular discs on a severe angle, screwing the rack down, covering with mache', when dry, cover with leather, felt or flocking, a simple braid around pedicles and hanger on the back. 80.00! The severe angle on edge {/} makes for a smooth transition from wood disc to mache. Oh, make my own mache' too!
