Just a question I've never ran into this before I was having my wife pick me up more Basic White and 40% peroxide and they said they no longer sell it to the public. It has to go through a licensed beauty salon person. This happened at a Beauty Brands in KC,MO, is this happening everywhere?

is a hair dresser/stylist and said it's been like that in Washington where she used to be, and here in Alaska, as long as she can remember.
Here in Alaska, I get it through a salon in Eagle River. This lady just adds it to her monthly order for me which I think is about 19.95 per container. You might try that route as far as talking with a salon and having them order it for you. Other wise you can pay the shipping and get it out of one of the taxidermy suppliers.
As Nain suggests, talk with the manager. If need be, set up an account through your business with them and explain that you require it for business purposes only. If that doesn't work, find a hairdresser who can understand what you're doing and that you're not competing with them for their business.
at Sally Beauty Supply here in Wisconsin. Maybe they have a website you can order off of.
Good Luck
should be able to fix you up...
It's been that way for years here. At least 15 - becaue I remember it being "illegal" in 1990. I could never buy it off the shelf in-state, so I bought it from a taxidermy place out of state - no problems, same stuff.
Thanks for all the good input, it just took me off guard I've been either having my wife stop by or running in myself to pick that stuff up for a few years and now I can't! Kinda like being at walmart last weekend buying fuel stablizer at a self check out thing to winterize the boat and needing approval because you have to be 18 to buy Sta-bil? that also was news to me, guess I'm behind on these things!
